A baby was sleeping blissful when a bee flew in and rested on its cot.
‘Ho, what is this?’ the bee said to himself. ‘What a stupid animal! It has no wings and cannot fly. I will sport myself.’ At which the bee began to buzz wildly around the baby’s face, which soon woke it up. The baby, wide-eyed and curious tried to catch the bee. But the bee escaped its grasp each time. Unable to catch the bee, the baby began to dry. The bee rested on the frame of the cot.
‘Ha-ha, even though you are enormous, I’ve got the run of you.’
Soon the baby’s mother, hearing the crying, came in and saw the bee, whereupon, she swotted it to death with a cloth.
The arrogant often forget to watch their own back.
